What a mobile bartender costs in Houston.
Straight numbers, no quote-form hostage-taking: packages at $800, $1,350, and $2,500, what each one includes, why the alcohol isn't in the price (that part saves you money), and what to budget for gratuity and the deposit.
How much does a mobile bartender cost in Houston?
Mobile bartending in Houston with The Signature Pour starts at $800 for The Classic — two certified bartenders, four hours, three batched cocktails plus beer and wine. The Signature, with custom cocktails designed for you, is $1,350. The Story, with per-guest personalization, is $2,500. Every price covers labor, craft, and setup; the alcohol is bought separately at retail from an exact shopping list we build for your guest count, which is where the dry-hire savings come from.

What's in the price — and what isn't.
In the price: the TABC-certified bartenders, house-made syrups and mixers, ice, fresh garnishes, glassware or eco-friendly cups, bar tools, the full bar setup, the craft, and a zero-proof option for every cocktail on your menu. Also in it: the exact alcohol shopping list we build for your guest count and event length, down to the count of limes.
Not in the price: the alcohol itself. That's not a hidden fee — it's the whole point of the dry-hire model. A licensed catering bar buys the bottles for you and marks them up 3–4x retail on the invoice. Under dry-hire, you buy them at any Houston retailer at store prices and pay us only for labor, craft, and setup. Most clients save well over a thousand dollars on a full event.
When you compare quotes from Houston bar services, ask each one the same question: who buys the alcohol, and at what markup? A lower service fee attached to marked-up bottles is routinely the more expensive bar.
100 guests, 4 hours
Plan roughly 400–450 drinks. Your shopping list works out to about 7 cases of beer, around two cases of wine, and 7–8 bottles of spirits — bought at store prices, not a caterer's markup. The planning guide shows the full math.
Gratuity, deposits, and getting to an exact number.
- ✦Gratuity: no fixed rule at private events. Common Houston approaches are 10–20% of the bar service fee as a flat gratuity, or a tip jar at the bar. Hosts who don't want a visible tip jar usually choose the flat gratuity — decide before the event and tell us which way you want it handled.
- ✦Deposit: a deposit secures your date once you accept a quote, with the balance due before the event. Exact terms come in your booking agreement, sent after your initial inquiry.
- ✦Your exact quote: send your date, guest count, and event type through the inquiry form. We typically reply within a couple of hours with cocktail ideas and a quote — no obligation attached.
